For Sauerkraut Lovers

This is a twist of a German stew with ground meat and Sauerkraut

Preparation time: 30 minutes

What you need:

1/2 pound (200 g) ground meat (beef or pork)
1 can (14 oz/400 g) Sauerkraut
2 can (28 oz /800 g) stewed tomatoes
1 onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, chopped
2-4 cups (1/2-1 liter) vegetable or chicken stock (you can substitute with water)
1 tablespoon oil
Pepper, salt, oregano, cumin and chili powder to taste

How to do it:

In a large pot, sauté onions in oil until golden, add garlic

Add ground meat and cook for 5-6 minutes, add all spices and taste

Drain Sauerkraut of liquids and add to pot

Add tomatoes and stock/water and let cook at low heat for about 15 minutes

Add more spices until you like it!

Serve with rice.
